Planning to attend my first Bayou Roundup in Lafayette, La this October. Does anyone know of motels that have enough parking area to accommodate car trailer parking? Or does the show have a secured lot? Cant find anything on the website about that. Don't want to show up and not be able to park it, and I know that is a real issue with a lot of hotels. Thanks in advance.
I usually get on Google maps and check it out to see if the Motel has room for trailer parking. If I see one that looks good I then call the Motel and talk to the manager to see if it is OK to park a trailer in his parking lot. We have done this several time in different locations and it seems to work out.
Yes, good advice. I have done this with the two recommended hotels. Neither guess services rep could tell me anything about trailer parking, although one did say he would check and call back. I did email the show and ask them if they had a trailer lot or an agreement with a parking facility. Hopefully I can get a good response. Trailers can be a real parking problem, for sure. I used to look down on driver quality cars being trailered. Now at age 74, and with a couple issues, I have a different perspective!
I see that three show truck parking for semis. https://www.allstays.com/hotel-maps/Louisiana-truck-motels.htm#Towns Not sure if you want to stay in any of them but at least parking a trailer and tow rig shouldn't be an issue.
