Hard times take a toll. I wonder if the guy had even turned 50 yet when the picture was taken.

Saw another photo (will dig it up); caption said the farmer was 80 but he looked no older than this guy. Looked at quite a few 'old folk' pics and contrary to what one would think, they don't look more 'worn down' than today (for some reason).

This guy; caption said '80 year old corn farmer'. I would have guessed he was around 65 :
