  1. Just went back and looked at the pics of the white trim. The silver still looks much better. I think you are on the right path there.

I would have two toned the seats. All White is too much it cuts down on the interest.

Yeah I've went ahead and painted the windshield garnish molding. I'm gonna leave it silver. It'll be fine :D

The one thing i knew i wanted was solid white seats. Didn't want inserts or nothing like that. Kinda minimalist. Only problem was pissing off the upholstery guy, didn't know he was a preacher  so i took my stuff to another guy. Not the same quality, but he's trying. So i helped him out a little. Can't learn if nobody will let you work on anything i guess

  10. Ohhh yeah! Dig the pinstripe idea. Or maybe paint the “cove” on the seat base black.

  18. Don’t laugh...I found the spot out behind one of the barns where the former owners had their still set up. I do plan on reinstalling one as soon as things settle down. Until then, I have an ample supply of shine in the pantry.

Well I tried something. Think I'll pull a black line around the white insert, and pinstripe the piece on the back with white and black. 20200408_194057.jpg

I stuck the garnish in. Of course it's gotta come back out, but I'm fitting and doing inventory;) 20200408_183926.jpg 20200408_183931.jpg

Just pretend it's a customer car @$185.00/hr. Oh, I forgot, that's how much we spend on them instead of make from them :)

I wish! I'd retire from the firehouse today! It's $40 an hour and people think I'm trying to take their souls

  26. And that ain’t nearly enough compensation for what first responders go through. I oughta know...I used to be one. I still like you, even though you’re a hose jockey. :)

Lloyd, now that your going to start on the body work, we're all waiting to see what kind of a bodyman and painter you are. Please keep us posted on your progress.
Don't know what EMT's and nurses make, but what ever it is its not enough. God bless them for their service.

Ah there's a Facebook for my shop that momma started, not my choice, and my shop is on highway 36, 2.5 miles east of the I64 exit 121. Stop by anytime. Today would be a good day. You can help sit the body back on a 39 Chevrolet.
