843BAE41-D47E-4719-9717-969EB52F0B23.jpeg I have a six pack of electric Mooneyes gauges, but no wiring. I have the bulb & socket for the larger gauges (they are single wire with multi finger prong metal socket) but need to know what type of socket fits small gauges? Single wire, dual wire? Metal housing? Plastic housing?
Tried Classic Instruments tech support, but they never got back to me.
The hole is very close to a center thread, so I don’t think it has any collar like the two larger gauges...
    Any help appreciated- thanks!

Looking at the photos you posted there appears to be a metal plate at the rear of the gauge that the light socket attaches to. The plate is connected to the ground stud. If this is the case then than a single wire light socket will work. However there is no reason why you couldn't use a 2 wire socket with one for hot and the other for a ground. If it was me I'd just use a single wire socket and call it a day.

    . . . or call Mooneyes.

  5. Lots of options out there. It might be better to go to the auto parts store and look at their inventory, if not social distancing.

Single wire, grounds through that copper part.
You may have to grind a little bit of the flange to clear the stud.
The set I have is buried on the shelf, or I'd send a pic of factory

His may be an old set like mine that were made by Classic, the new ones aren't.
They may or may not have changed the tooling when they went to a different manufacturer, I don't know

  8. Have some of the small sockets. Your welcome to if I can find them.

  9. Its easier to find an old harness and use the dash bulb sockets, I tried the local auto parts, online and at about 4-7 bucks a socket.... well you just need 5 or so, but I didnt my whole dashboard it was like 10-12!
Did you have something lying around you can check with? you really just need to check the hole size.
