The Definitive "MILD CUSTOM" likely does not include a chopped top. (the Sunset Merc, the 4 dr Merc, and the Green BelAir) Some cool cars, but probably better in other threads that feature the full-on kustoms.

I'm wondering what this car would look like without the skirts. Either way, its a very nice ride.

I’m wondering what it would look like with me behind the wheel...

Look at the car in post #4653. The modifications are almost identical between the two cars; only the color, the wheels/tires, and the skirts differ. The skirts definitely make the maroon car more sinister, a sled. The blue car looks a little more athletic, IMO.

The wheel openings on the '59 Pontiac are flared. IMO, skirts just don't look right,

Thanks for the reply. You have good comments and valid points, some of the cars do look sinister. I find a lot of the skirted cars look common. Either way, the owner does what he wants and that's cool.

Beautiful Merc but being chopped takes it out of the mild category.

@lurker mick has it right on ... great looking Merc, but .... chopped ain't mild.

The quote above is from the first post to start this thread over nine years ago. Its a good read. Try it out if you haven't already.
