@'52 F-3 the grill and lamps and grill shell look killer, nice job. While one light each side might suffice as @flatheadpete mentioned, I think that the two lamps per side look killer. Don't forget to rotate your bulbs in the housings as they are at a 90 degree angle from the stock mounting locations and will reflect light in a really weird pattern. You might need to slot the buckets to accept the alignment tabs on the bulbs. Have you had a chance to drop it down on all three and roll it outside for any "glamour" shots? Cliff Ramsdell
Finished the chain guard and area between seat backs, (yup, I'm pretty sure the fuel filler will be under the original HD tank chrome/cap) and also mounted 3rd brake light.
Started on the fuel tanks, will be using the "guts" out of the factory tank and making 2 small tanks (one behind each seat) It's gonna be a quite a few hours of work...
Got the fuel tanks tacked up and I'm lucky enough to have great welder as a good friend. (thanks Dave) While he's welding I'm routing fuel and brakes lines etc.... I was wondering how many brake line/fitting leaks I was going to have, I flared 16 ends. So I quickly found I didn't even tighten 2, then had a leaker that couldn't be tighten/fixed so had to make another line. So front was going pretty well, but wasn't getting fluid to the rear bleeder…. I loosened hose at caliper-nothing, I loosed line coming from adjustable proportioning valve-nothing, I loosened line coming out of Master Cylinder-nothing! With master cylinder under dash it's hard to get to, so I hooked up a line to blow/suck and discovered I could blow into Master Cylinder with no resistance or air bubbles???? then I got a flashlight an noticed the rear reservoir was empty… duh So there is just a small gap to pour fluid into rear section that I can't see, and without flashlight I couldn't see reservoir level like in picture.
thanks for replies, helps to stay motivated to get through this wiring... Got the fuel system finished, tested and leak checked . Finished wiring the rear lights and started on the front. (rotating bulbs 1/4 turn) and installed seat bottoms and set backs in place. Gonna Google how to bend Lexan, wanna put a bow in windshield.

Agree... I've said before, I'm actually going more for the "Ed Roth" than Mad Max look, but it does have a RatRod look. I also have some build plans in my head, and enjoy thinking about. Original plan was to finish and paint a gloss medium grey. But now I'm using Rustoleum Enamel Clear (gloss) to coat body parts I've finished. Plan has evolved to just get running/inspected/titled/driving like it is, (I'm getting excited to drive) and later go back and bondo/paint. Time will tell, only things for sure are my plans always change and projects never seem to get 100% finished.
I'm watching and looking forward to the "next installment" , this is one cool project!!!!, lot's of different themes/ style's and a cool factor off the charts!!. Thanks for posting!!!
Not much picture worthy stuff going on, still working on wiring. I did make the huge step of hooking up the battery and started testing minor electrical things. Weekend after next I should have some time to make some real progress.... I did get this 1947 Studebaker Commander hood ornament (off E-bay) and installed, looks like I planned it.
IT'S ALIVE! Worked on wiring a little more today, and got to the point to test the starter, and it cranked fine. So I couldn't think of anything else not wired that would prevent the engine from starting. Cranked about 2 seconds and fired right up, gotta love fuel injection (when it's working). A couple pictures of the lights, cause I like pictures more than reading... notice the adaptors made to lift safely by the 3 wheels (my back can only take so much). Starting on exhaust, can barely see left side muffler.
Loving your vision on this. Can't wait to see more (and a wider angle picture of the front, too). Had to smile at the British Leyland "drain hole" on the pedal rubber though... Phil
Haven't been working on much, but did get some time to almost complete the exhaust, I'm going to put these "isolators" in the down tubes off the heads. (see if it keeps from cracking my exhaust welds) it's about 5" at the low spot under the swaybar...
The Brake Cylinder assemble is from a Triumph, actually going to be cutting off the pedal and weld the Harley Rear brake one in it's place. Wider angle pic of front?

Great build! I've been dreaming and scheming about a reverse trike build of my own for about 28 years. I've finally collected all of the essential bits that represent the amount of mental "development" the project has gone through in those nearly three decades. It's much different than what it started out, but the search -- for me -- has been almost as much fun as the final build will be. I've been absent from the board for quite some time -- ass-kicking health issues and 80-some years nag at me -- but I'm back and ready to pick up the thread and start building! I'll be watching you!
