I can't change opinion but then that's one of the reasons this thread came about...

I continue to thank the Period Hotrod Crowd for doing what they did even facing this opposition or disgust that's no doubt Very Traditional...and Non Homogenized or is that Non Homogeneous as ever...no matter how incredible what is put forth is...

In fact that's why driving Hotrods beats stopping and chatting about them...many times...

@clem here are a couple more pics of this Gem of a Hotrod built by Fran and his Brother Ralph Bannister both Machinist/Mechanics...that ran 127mph in 1950 at Bonneville and was all around Show and Go...They were from Massachusetts...

...One of the older clubs in Fresno California entered this pretty over the top entry into the races back in 1952 and got some in and clocked 85mph not beating the 95 high of the day...they were however told to not come back so something obviously didn't sit well...oh well at least there was a person who had a camera to capture the Wild in the Thick of the Hotrod era we revere here...

Nick you been around this Hotrod Scene for a while...You must have been amongst some of what really was from those Good Ole Days...If you know the Bannister's or have interest in that Hotrod as I do I'd sure be interested in what you and the others got up to...Any Pics to share?

  23. Long drive from Belgium to Pendine for Eddy. Probably the thought of the return journey that scares him into not pressing the throttle too hard and giving us plenty of time to see that fine automobile...

    Wears socks with sandals though.
