I'm thinking that is an added booster for the brakes on some 50's era 1=1/2 ton or so trucks. I've seen similar ones on trucks but don't remember what trucks. Can't ID the filler/Reservoir.
looks 55-57 tbird to me , they had no room for power brakes because of the battery location ,as an option their fix looked just like that , fabricator john miss you dad

I had one of those on my 37 Chevy truck when I first bought it. Not sure if it was an original, I thought it was an aftermarket piece. Long story short, I ****canned that thing, it made terrible brake feel and IMHO did not really add much power ***ist. Had disc front and drum rear brakes. I just went with a dual master cyl and everything was right in the braking world. I just think that remote booster adds complexity that isn't needed for most cases. Brake feel was terrible, since it used the brake pressure to activate the booster, rather than pedal force.
The car it’s on has some really great brakes. it’s also got a Henry 32 axle, with disc brakes and correct scrub radius and all fits in the fenders. ,,,,, interesting rotors.
