Well, I must be the last one to know this but in the 1964 movie "Goldfinger", in all the street scenes that are supposed to be boulevards in Kentucky are really in Opa-locka and Miami Florida. Joe's Drive-in Restaurant is long gone but the KFC is still there in Miami. The gas in Opa-locka is 28 9/10 cents.

Cool. Another Goldfinger secret is hauling a crushed Lincoln Continental in the back of a Falcon Ranchero, including a million dollars in gold bars no less. ra.PNG

    1964 Continental curb weight = 5500 lb

    1964 gold, $35.35/oz, 28,288 oz = 1768 lb

About 3 1/2 tons in the Ranchero.

One of the movie's my dad took us to the Navy base Dallas/Grand Prairie to see in the big old theater I think was also the mess hall - wooden floors were neat to walk on.

  8. There are some accurate scenes that are of Ft. Knox in the movie.

You forgot to add the guy’s weight in, say about 170 lbs?

There were some nice Fords in that movie, the T-bird and Mustang rag tops, the Ranchero, Lincoln, and my favorite, the Country Squire. Damn I'm getting old..

It's a stud, says so right on the sign.

Another goof in the movie is that the Lincoln drives right up to the crane with the electro magnet that lifts it onto the crusher. If you look closely as it is being lifted you can see that there is no motor in the car. Ah, the magic of Hollywood.
