VINTAGE SHOTS FROM DAYS GONE BY! (Part 2)

The first shot is of the Gil Pearson Miller big car. Bud Rose won several Oakland 500 Mile Races in this car in the years leading up to WWII. This car has been restored and has been offered for sale off and on in recent years. Here's a photo of it after restoration.



I'm not sure but is the second photo Johnny Parsons in Joe Hunt's dirt car at Sacramento?

Actually that is Rose's short track "big car" note the front suspension. The color pic is of Pearson's champ/Indy car which never made it to Indy but was successful on the west coast. And yes that is J.P. at Sacto.

Bingo. All I noticed was the Sta-Lube name on the side of the car and didn't much attention after that.
