No tilt, I'm kinda thinking it might be an early C-10. I'm not really sure. 20191129_111953.jpg

So is that a signal switch? I see light blue and dark blue which is front signals and dash signal indicator. Black horn, pink ign. for turn switch, yellow from brake pedal. What's missing is left rear and right rear or am I just dreaming?

If I'm not mistaken, the C10 had 2 bulb tailights and the light & dark blue wires were for both front and rear single element turn signal bulbs. Tailights and brake lights were on the other bulb which was dual element

There's no ignition switch in this column. If you look you can see the cable from the signal lever running down the column into the switch. I removed the other block on the left, that's closer to the steering wheel. If that signal 20200630_110240.jpg switch has wires for front signals, can i just use those for the rear? I'm not running any on the front.

^^^^^ No. Since someone said C10 have a 2 bulb rear light you'll have to use another switch. Why no retro fit a switch like that I've posted earlier. Makes way more sense than an electronic converter and much easier.

The trouble with the good old arm method is that most drivers these days don’t know what you are doing and just wave back!
Even sequential flashing rear lights and flashing side mirrors don’t get the message across to some drivers.

  15. Yea if they had separate bulbs then either a trailer converter thingy or different switch, sorry man that’s the only way. Oh and put some damn turn signals on the front!!

I looked up both C10's body's from 60 to 72 and found nothing with 2 bulbs at tail light. @Lloyd's paint & glass the photo isn't clear enough to tell. Is there a plug that the wire's can be removed from switch? It would be helpful to see how many terminals are really there. GM was and still is too cheap to make a second switch. They'd would have just wire off switch using only the terminals needed.

  21. I know nothing about the old c 10s. So without a schematic it’s tough to help much

Oh I don't even know for sure what the column came out of lol. I picked it because scotty t threatened my life if i put a column in it with a key switch in it lol. All i know is whatever it was had a powerglide. I think i shortened it 6"

I'm getting some where now. Bare with me I've never wired a C10 but GM color codes are all near the same. 18 gauge Nat. should be from brake pedal switch. 18 gauge Yellow should be keyed power in. I know for a fact that early Chevy's use Pink and Violet for rears. Light Blue and Dark blue have always been fronts and dash indicators. Horn must be like the earlier pick-up's in that wire is a single stand alone wire from horn contact that runs inside steering tube jacket and exit's some where 2/3 of the way down.

With all my editing I didn't even notice that tb33anda3rd had posted a link. I always do things the hard way. But that's OK. Knowing GM color codes is golden.

The only reason I stayed on it so long is because I've never seen or heard of only front circuit turn switch's in that era from GM. Besides, I learned something new with out getting dirty. I would have never imagined pick up's had a cable operated signal switch that's reserved for a tilt type set up. I only knew of that type of switch on tilt's (but never work on one) for the likes of Impala's Riviera's and such.
