My old home town of Champaign Urbana, Illinois "back in the day" it's kind of sad how we have lost the old "Main Street " America.

 

A lot of it was still there when I was at Chanute AFB in the '60s.

 

I left in early '71 back in the 60's our places to Cruise were Steak N Shake and Dog N Suds, I graduated from Champaign High in '63 was in the Army 1964-67 divorced in '70 and planned to head West.

Stock Car racer Eddie Pagan,and he walked away a little battered and bruised he passed away in 1984.

 

WOW! I'm surprised he wasn't carried off by the coroner...
