Kind of my point with this thread. It doesn't seem to matter how many times someone calls something different than what some people think they should be called somebody always has to "correct" them. If we all know what is being discussed.... why does it always have to be corrected?

Many many years ago when the department of motor vehicles was invented electric cars were becoming popular
bakercar.JPG in typical government fashion they bet on them becoming main stream so instead of the department of engine vehicles we have the department of motor vehicles.
Perhaps they were correct and just 130 years ahead of time?

Hmmm...It's said to be about 'identifying'.
O.K., I did a little 'wheeling' this morning, but in 'wheeling' vs. 'rimming', they are NOT the same...
I can be a 'wheeler'. Not the other.

I was always told a motor is small, self contained, and easily removable. Like an outboard motor on a boat. A starter motor, etc. An engine is large and difficult to remove, depends on many other more complex systems to run, etc. Of course that's just what I heard, I use the terms interchangeably.

    Fuckin' A!
My motor manuals say "motor manual" on the covers.
I call wheels rims and rims wheels.
    I call a sedan a car and a convertible a car.
    I call a motorcycle a bike and a bicycle a bike.
I called my parachute a parachute and called my T-10 canopy minus a panel or two a parachute.
I call my brother a tool and my wrenches tools.
I call my ex wife a bitch and she's still a bitch.

No, but I do have truck to disassemble and paint if my damn tires and wheels would ever show up . I need to test fit before I take the truck apart in case I need to modify the rear wheel openings. I ordered them 4 months ago!!! But that is a rant for another day on a thread coming soon to a message board near you!

    Engine... motor...

That gas-powered self-propelled machine that changes linear motion into rotational motion with the suck squeeze bang blow thing.

  21. And what about wings, are they not an anatomical part of a bird or an air plane?

While you were there did you get the "Wheeling Feeling?"

Is that a pancake on top of a bunny...or is it a Bunny under a pancake? Regardless, I think he's looking for his current issue of Engine Trend:p

I jumped under a T-10 as well. Never have done one of them new-fangled wing parachutes, but it sure looks like the landing is more gentle than slamming into the ground under the T-10.

For those of you who might be confused, the Borg Warner transmission is not the only thing with a T-10 designation.
