Early GPS?

 

Most of us older guys remember the on board record player, sitting still it was OK, rock the car or driving the needle skipped and scratched the record. HRP

 

I had one!!!!!^^^^^^^^^^^^ Mine worked great going down the road because it played the records upside down! Big potholes would make it skip as would power shifting from 1st to second. Other than that it woo-ed many a woman on hot August nights!

The invention was a rubber bladder that the exhaust inflated to lift the car to change the tire.

 

Some of the projects posted on here I’ve considered automotive oddities.

The Bevo Boat - not an optioned oddity.....but an entire oddity.

"During Prohibition, the brewing giant Anheuser-Busch of St. Louis, Missouri, manufactured a series of outstanding promotional automobiles. From the 1920s through the early 1940s, the Anheuser-Busch Vehicle Department produced eight inboard styled cruisers on automobile chassis. Four versions of the unusual automobiles were created. The original "Bevo," named after A-B's non-alcoholic beer, the Budweiser II and, lastly, the Budweiser III."
