I think that is LeRoy Semas' Harry Westergard custom Chevy in the background (I said "Winfield" in an earlier version, Lurker Mick corrected me, thanks!

 

I think that Gus Stallings ran this gullwing Mercedes.

 

Hale and Moll, I think, twin flatheads.

 

I think this is Norm Thatcher, waited until he retired, then raced at the Salt

 

Lee Chapel streamliner, powered by an OVH flathead of his own design.

 

Good eye, you are right about LeRoy's 37 Chev, but it was customized by Harry Westrgaard not Winfield.

I think @stillrunners Uncle also owned the Leroy Custom for some time making several additional mods which is typical in the land of Hotrod/Custom of course...it was also a tow vehicle I understand...
