Technical Lets see Cars in Tow....gotta get em there somehow

Recent 32 Ford going home.

 

On the way to get exhaust system and a few frame tweaks.

 

Car all finished and loaded to take back home!! Yeah!! Very happy owner on the right!!

 

The first time since 1986 that the car has been on a trailer. Hopefully the last time.
Only trailered it because it needed to be moved from my parents to my house approx 50 miles and the tri-power carbs were acting up and leaking. Oh and it wasn't registered.

 

my friend Don Stephenson won the 69 winternationals in pomona with his 57 chev "Tension"....tow car was a 67 chevelle 396-375hp, all the way from omaha to pomona in the winter

 

Hauling more crap home in the late 80's.

I don’t see a Blazer, but I sure see that 57 Handyman wagon.
Lusted after 150 series wagons and sedans since my youth.

 

I loved that Blazer too (actually a Jimmy) but after 30 years it got too rusty.
It hauled a lot of projects home.

Denny it's actually a sedan delivery with windows (1 of 93) Notice the 1 piece tailgate.
I hauled home this 210 Handyman the same day.

 

Yeh, I actually thought of that after I posted.
Those were special order fleet vehicles as I recall, military, forest service, etc.

 

This one was x-Navy. Guy I bought it from got it from the Navy base in San Diego in 1960. It has an SPL paint and acc body tag. Originally Navy gray with green interior. It was some kind of radio car. Still had lots of extra wiring in it and several antenna holes in the roof and both front fenders. Sold it to a friend in 1991 that has a 57 Chevy collection. He restored to Navy specs and still has it.

First I brought the rusty Hawk home in pieces on a trailer in 1977, then I started using it to haul home more unwanted lost pets over many years

My old dragster, 170” WB on my not quite long enough vintage car trailer, 1989 ish time frame. Check out the cool Fenton wheels on the trailer.

From 1979 when the old fella said buy all 3 or nothing!!
I bought all three!!

The front one returned three years later looking like this. That's the fella I bought them from... he was tickled to see it come back for a visit!

The middle car on a trailer turned into this one.
I sold the third one.

 

Built this little trailer from sucker pipe a few pieces of wwII era aircraft landing mat and a ball receiver dated 1939.

 

Back in the mid 70's, some drunk ran into my '39 Fargo that was parked on the street so I dragged this one home for parts to fix it. One look at it and the body shop decided to fix my old fenders instead.

 

After 65 years it was recently brought back to life... The Medley Coupe!

Bringing home a sunburned, original paint Torpedo. Sold it at Pomona. Could've bought that '37 V8 flatbed for $1200. Unrestored original in very nice driving condition.

 

Knocked up a new trailer for the banger,got sick of hiring and borrowing
