Wow, coming right along Baron. Never knew those windscreens were that involved. Looks like the guy knows what he is doing. By the way, can you expound on the paint difference in natural light as compared to indoor lighting.
Baron: Having built quite a few deuce roadsters myself, I tip my hat to you. It's perfect, as they say, IT HAS THE LOOK!
the difference is the color spectrum of the different sources. Mercedes Benz in their dealer book it states that you can only match paint in sun light. Thats why they have a small sun gun to use inside also there is special bulbs for the paint booth to duplicate actual sun light. They are really close but not perfect
Thanks guys. I really do appreciate all the compliments on the Rdstr. I couldn't be any happier on how it's coming together. Really looking forward to seeing it with the doors and hood on. All takes time.
Jay buffed out a couple more panels yesterday and I got the tail lights installed. Little by little it's coming together. Paint couldn't be any nicer.
Thanks. I'm more of a coupe guy myself ( I've had four 5W's), but this is the 3rd Deuce Rdstr I've built, and I've done everything exactly the way I envisioned it in my mind for the last 40 years. "Check one off the bucket list".
Beautiful car... Especially the rear frame kick-up, shortened shifter linkage, & raked windshield. Two questions; what's the black coating on the firewall & toeboards? Would you recommend it to others?
