Ah, they almost have a "cast" look to them. Well done!

With sitting all the way in the back over the rear axle, and needing your arms to stay inside of the cage area. The steering needed to come way back to the driver. The problem with all of that is the steering then gets in the way of exiting the car. So I designed a tilt Column that allows 12 inches of the column to tilt up to allow the driver to exit easier. I still need to add the gas cylinders to push the column to the up position, and the down / drive position lock. Very pleased with the way it turned out. I will try to figure out how to post a video of it working from my phone. If I can’t I will snap some more pics tomorrow

A few pics of it on the salt. Had a handful of inspectors look over the car and everything looks good so far 7592A871-FA20-4872-8660-6A09256D33D7.jpeg 97E1081C-D496-44A6-B56D-441CE3CD3507.jpeg DEE14AF0-814B-4790-9CBA-C6A5290D6521.jpeg 26B913A5-0B0E-4ABE-BFE6-2C4DDE058B49.jpeg 3BCC4A70-AA65-4687-B2CB-99465DEE3842.jpeg 80D59289-266B-4642-9A49-F40739ED334A.jpeg

Having followed from the start, I’m not surprised that they liked it, amazing workmanship.

You need to follow Mike on YouTube. He is a premier metal shaper and does some really cool builds. Look up Cornfield Customs.

  19. Mike, I just re-read your thread here, even watched the video. I didn’t see anywhere that you said or showed the lift rams you’re using. Any info on them you can share? Thanks again and hope to see you again in May!
