When did chev stop using wooden wheels

  4. I think Chevy stopped offering wood wheels as late as 1931.
That looks like it could be an early / mid teens hubcap. It might be valuable as well as anything else that's salvageable.

What if you stumbled upon another Classic Six? So far serial number 93 is the oldest and there is only one other car.

DSCN4155.JPG Went to check this one out today. It is a 1949 Plymouth sedan. Hauled to Michigan from Montana (still has 1983 plates on it). When it arrived the interior was mint and it ran and drove. Supposed to have only 28,000 miles. Lesson: Leave it outside and watch it dissolve in front of your eyes! Critters have taken over and the inside is trashed now

I had a 49 Ply just like that in HS, plus I had a 2 door sedan same color. Pick a pair.

Definitely ex-USSR - the bed is from an IZH (moskvich) bread van. My dad owned a white one when I was about 3 years old.

One roached '61 Cadillac coupe. Pulling the 390 for my Model A coupe. At least part of it will live on. Same yard I bought some cool parts and a rare AMC 401 from.

  18. That is one rusty '61. I've never seen one that bad. Hopefully the inside of the engine isn't full of rust like the rest of the car.

I hope not either. One valve cover is off and has typical wear and tear, sludge, etc. I hope it's not locked up.

Back side of the same Cadillac. Gotta love swampy Florida.

  21. A good soaking of the cylinders in ATF and acetone should free it up if it is.

  28. Saw a '34 Dodge like the one above at a show in Taylorsville GA on Saturday evening. The top had been filled (very nicely done), otherwise about as rough as the one above but was running and driving with late model drivetrain.
