Front wheels are GM Rally 6"x15, tires are BFG Radial TA 215-65x15. Rears are GM Rally 8"x15, tires are BFG Radial TA 235-70x15. Hub caps are from Summit for Rally wheels and look like '55 stockers.

that really gets me too, missed it by that much... I often wonder if someone didn't buy a *****in period correct car and then add their own touches.... era mixing really ruins it for me

I'm in complete agreement with you about era mixing in an otherwise great car. It boggles the mind. I'm sure there are any number of reasons for it. I most ***uredly wud have questioned the owner, but he wasn't around and I had no idea who it was. If it was a case of cost or an unavailable part, I think the stock wheel painted body color wud have been so much better than what was used. If I come across the car and owner in the future, I will certainly inquire and report my findings.

Just picked up this Delray a few weeks ago, same color combo as yours.
Long hibernation, last on the street in '91. Zero rust, floor pans and trunk look new. 265/PG, 74,**X miles on the speedo. Interior is nice but the front seat will need a recover. Paint is toast and stained by some tree fruit but rubbing it out now and will have to live with it for a while, chrome is so far cleaning up nicely, driver quality. All wheels still have remnants of the original factory pin stripe, spare is almost perfect, its on the driver front.
Been wanting a '55 post since I was a kid and went through the windshield of my uncle's in '61.

What a sweet heart. Been looking for this same condition one for years and always see them after someone else found it first. Good luck and enjoy.

Congratulations on finding your Delray. It looks very straight and complete. A very basic car that is fun to work on and update as needed. Have fun!!!

My fathers. Picture taken in 1968. He sold it before he went into the Air Force in 1969. Wonder if it’s still around 4A1F1183-1BB0-4565-B687-E3DA88959C32.jpeg
