A few (several) years ago I believe this decal was a topic of identification on one of the movie/tv cars, I remember it being American Graffiti or Two Lane Blacktop or Hollywood Knights...I think Do any of you remember which car was in question with this decal, I really think it was in the quarter window but my memory storer checked out ? Heck maybe it was on a t-shirt of someone standing next to one of the cars..lol It's 2 a.m. and this is what keeps me up
I'm a little disappointed; I thought maybe you were going to reference this one : From the looks of the nose, it's an early flathead cam (for those of you that are more technically oriented).
No idea about the movie but I do know that decal is on the C pillar of a ‘66 or ‘67 Nova. Paul Schiefer was an early lakes racer that went on to produce performance flywheels and clutches and as a side benefit probably saved many from injury.
@swade41 I think you were in a fog and maybe in a dream. The thread was Hollywood Knights 57 Chevy info, and though someone posted a picture of the Schiefer decal that's not the decal he was asking about. This one is and it's not a Schiefer. No one had identified it. Good 'ole Project X As a side note one of the cool things about the Schiefer decal was that they printed them in both directions
Speaking of cool decals from the past let me "hi-jack" this answered thread by asking............."How about the Trans-Dapt stripped-ass ape decal!!" Now that one was cool back in the 60's on MY 66 Falcon Sprint window....
Hated that Trans-Dapt decal. But then I’m creeped out by monkeys, apes, gorillas, all primates. Like some folks can’t stand clowns. Gotta be a name for that. Sent from my iPad using The H.A.M.B. mobile app
Humans are primates and during our current times (fill in specific aspect here...) I can understand how you can be creeped out. Some humans are clowns, some act like monkeys, but some act like asses (non-primate), and some of the "special" ones embody all of my examples!
I looked at that decal but wasn't sure if that was it or not, as being in a fog I blame it on a little oxygen deprivation and the medication I'm on. Where's the link to that thread ?
I had one one my ModelA windshield from the early sixties until I demolished it to repair the frameless than ten years ago. Also a Vic Hubbard cam decal there.
Not sure but I thought I saw that decal in this movie scene. https://media.giphy.com/media/jDr2VgOtOKkWk/giphy.gif
I can't get it to link on my phone. I just typed Hollywood knights 57 Chevy info and it popped right up in the search icon Screen shot from the movie in first post. Decal is on the quarter window and the beautiful Michelle Pfeiffer in the passenger seat
