There is about a year since I started on it. Had some distractions(another 36 cabriolet!) along the way but this is about the discussed time frame. What it not so apparent is that it had no engine or trans or driveshaft or this or that in the first picture.
Heres my car when I first got it two years ago: It had a very tired flathead in it that due to budgeting I could not get rebuilt. It is the stock 221. I mostly worked on the firewall, trying to get it cleaned up. It looks better in the picture than in person. Before: After: I picked up a 226 H-series flathead for cheap. Got it cleaned up and installed. Did a little painting. And here it is now. This was at a local car show. I still have a lot to do, but at least it's driving good now. I am in the process of a front disc conversion. Then I need to install the door glass and weather stripping. After that it will be the rear windows.
We all go at our own pace and budget . Don't get discouraged , at least your driving yours . Looks good my friend . Stay at it , thanks for posting .
Body work done just needs flatting & polishing.Louvered roof panel fitted this week , engine on the stand needs to be painted and built up, blower polished ready for assembly.Getting somewhere at last.

Oh, I can play two hands at once One year ago grabbing the Nova Now, with wet sand/polish, red line bias 'stones, SS caps, fresh seats, No Cherry Bomb!, tune up, and attitude adjustment. And hopefully this is what it will look in another 12 months

The Nova and the 34 are both solid colors the Nova is a factory Roman Red car the '34 is 1969 ford Royal Maroon
started with a stock Morris and now a little past this point as I have the rear end in now and the hood and fenders welded together and the body in primer sealer, but did 3 other vehicles for other people in the mean time.
It didn,t all get done in a year.We cracked on over the last 12 months but it took years to get the shell in shape first.
Has anybody got much done this year.? I liked this thread the 1st time I read through it. Mine went from a lot driver to on the road .
October 2019: Last month: What's not shown is the year before that getting the body together and the 10 years all the parts sat in storage. Haha.
One year ago. '39 Chev passenger coupe. A rolling body, with no floors, rockers, lower doors, or tail panel intact. Lower cowl rotted, lower firewall rotted. A crappy one piece ill fitting glass frontend. No engine, trans, and a junk rear axle. New rockers tacked in. Tail panel. 350 SBC roller motor built. Rebuilt and narrowed '58 Chev truck axle, converted to disc brakes. 8.8" For axle installed, and wheelwells radiused for pie crusts. Stripped for epoxy sealer. Primed. My first upholstery work. And a couple weeks ago on it's first 1200 mile journey. Success, no problems, and 19 mpg with a well built 350 roller motor, and 700R4 trans. All done by myself, alone, no help, in a 10'x20' metal building. Hope to have paint on it this winter.

WOW is all I can say , pretty impressive to say the least . Looks awesome . Great stance , pie crusts , radiused , straight axle , roller motor overdrive trans , perfect . Color choice ?
The first pic is of both of the cars earlier this year before I cut them and switched bottoms. Since then I put in my engine and transmission, added the Buick headlights, Cougar seats, steering column, power steering box, new doors
