Projects Building My First Roadster in San Francisco

I might be interested in those if you're willing to part with them. What's strange is that my decklid has one rumble seat hinge but a handle location as if it's a trunk. I wonder if it's an older conversion?

 

Also, not much progress in the past few days due to moving, etc., but I was able to inspect the windshield posts and top bows . The top is a Deluxe and the posts are stainless—not chrome.

Next up, I'll be testing the wires for runout.

 

Yesterday I got a great deal in the Sunset on four old-school jack stands and a floor jack, so I can feel like a real mechanic! Today, I received a genuine piece of speed equipment in the mail. It's old, a little rough and I have a feeling it'll be a fun addition to the build. It will pair nicely with the downdraft intake and Holley 94 that I have coming.

 

Other than getting the hood latches in the mail, not much to report. That being said, I made big strides on the new garage setup last night. Tonight, I was able to plug in my "Stroh's Cave" and get it going for a little ambiance.
This weekend I'll be doing some field research, but you may have to tune into @TRJ's Instagram to see what that's all about. I'll post some highlights here too.

 

I’ve been up in Oregon this weekend doing some TRJ reporting/field research for this project. I don’t use the word epic lightly, but damn today was epic. I got to race four different traditional hot rods at the dirt drags in Dayton. I’ll fill you guys in with some more details when I’m back home. Thank you everyone for the advice on lighting. When I moved in, the property owner had some pretty high-powered lighting installed. The Stroh's cave is just for ambiance.

 

Tonight's update. First and foremost, I received a perfect set of rumble seat hinges from @31Apickup. Thank you, Bob! I discovered that he and I both spent many years living in Michigan and we now both call the West Coast home. Small world! I plan to install the decklid and source a pair of vintage lunchbox latches to keep it closed at the top. Also, I included my old HAMB Drags tag in the shot for motivation.
Not a lot of time to work on the car tonight, but I did manage to cross a big item off the list. With the help of my roommate Michael, we managed to hang the doors. The hinges are combination of old and new components, and they swing smoothly. Once I fully bolt the body down, we'll be in business.

Once both doors were secured, you know I jumped behind the wheel and pretended to drive. How could I not?
