WHAT CRAZY PART DID YOU SEE AT THE LOCAL CAR SHOW
    Hello,

The front of any hot rod is rather striking. In our So Cal hot rod history, T-bucket roadsters became popular with the two 50s versions from Tommy Ivo and Norm Grabowski. One could not read any magazine or watch TV/hot rod movies without seeing one or the other of what we called, the original T-buckets. Jump up 60 years and there is a new/old look to those T-bucket roadsters.

In taking some photos at a local car show a couple of months ago, I saw this capped up, chrome tube behind the radiator of a well done, T-Bucket. I****umed it was a fluid intake and storage unit in addition to the original radiator. It could have been a radiator overflow container as is built in most modern cars, these days. But, the application was neatly done, looked as if was/is a totally custom part, and puzzled me, as well as other onlookers.

If anyone missed seeing this cool looking T-bucket, it can be found on most Saturdays and Sundays at the local car shows. Those shows range from Donuts in Huntington Beach, to the Outlets in San Clemente, to most of the big, inland car shows. It gets driven all over the So Cal hot rod scene.

    Hello,

One of the most unusual front ends on an FED was shown in an old Cacklefest video. As I was watching the extremely long line up of the race cars making their starting line approach, this one popped up and created interest. What is it and who made it? If anything, it certainly looked nice.

It certainly is a nice front end. The motor did sound very healthy, too.

@pprather … great advice: On the large TV screen and full screen action with the stereo speakers, this Cacklefest video is one of the best. Great cackle cars, belching, nitro, exhaust flames/fumes and of course very cool push cars/trucks with a cool, black sedan delivery. To paraphrase an old Sesame Street song: “One of these guys was doing his own thing…”
