Building on the left (Library or Museum, can't remember this am) was the turn around west end for the Saturday night cruise on the AVE. 1960's, I was there 1964-70, east end across the river, bank parking lot, made that turn many times, took as much as a 1/2 hour 1 way approx 10 blocks, IT Was big, 100 ++ cars , beat cops on every corner , walking crowd Huge, A Happening for sure., getting mooned from fellow female cruisers, 50-100 foot burnouts, that always ended in tickets, sometimes arrests, Thanks ! Bleach, brought back some happy memories.
Anytime Wircarnut. The hardest thing is not reposting something too much. Lots of great photos of better times out there.
I don’t think so @jimmy six , the plane in the photo has been photo shopped in, it’s a 707. There is a similar photo of a DC-10 that did crash at O’Hare in 1979 killing 273, but no 707 ever crashed at O’Hare.
