    At first glance this looks like a F5A, a single seat fighter. But close examination shows the the rear cockpit could be painted over, perhaps for IFR/IMC training? The plane now at a South Dakota museum.

    Either way a very pretty airplane!

    Ironically, the USAF aircraft number, 81192, is the same as a certain Chinese J8 flown by a Lt. Cdr. Wang Wei (you can't make that up...) who buzzed into a USN EP3 Aries II spy plane on April 1st, 2001 off Hainan Island and created an international incident.
