Called Sid but he doesn’t drop Model A axles, he sends them to someone in Oklahoma. Does anyone here (preferably an Alliance vender) drop A axles? Did a quick check of the list but not conclusive without going to ever web page.

Okie Joe is where I got a dropped A axle. I did an exchange of my stocker for one that had been dropped. Don't have contact info at my fingertips but a search should reveal how to reach him.

Nailhead Jason is right, I'll second Andy Kohler for doing a helluva nice job. He's in PA.

Okie Joe at Joe's Speed Shop. You won't be sorry. That's who Sid sends them to.

He sends them to Okie Joe. http://www.joesspeedshop.com/joesproducts.htm

Okie Joe dropped the axle in my Model A, and drilled it to my specified pattern.

    Laser straight. 100% satisfied.

I’m curious as to what you would have to pay to have an axle dropped ?
I hope you don’t mind me asking on this thread.
    Thanks

  17. AS PER HIS WEB SITE...

Joe's Speed Shop is the sole source of Okie Joe Axles, a product of American Axles LLC. The above photo illustrates a selection of our early Ford dropped axles.
Axle A is a 28-31 Model A Ford which has been stretch dropped 4 inches.
Axle B is a 32 Ford Heavy which has been stretch dropped 5 inches.
Axle C is a 32-36 Ford which has been stretch dropped 4 inches.
We can provide you with a dropped axle or we can drop your axle. Retail price to drop an axle is $200. Core charge for Model A is $50.00 and for 33-36 axles is $75. Core charge for a 32 Heavy is market value, presently around $400.00 (when available).
All axles are straightened if necessary, kingpin bores are resized if needed, and all axles are Magnafluxed before shipping. We also can fill the ends of the axle for $100 and drill the center for $100. You have a choice of stretch drop or conventional drop. The difference is stretch drop maintains the original width within 1/8 of an inch, while a conventional drop shortens the axle approximately 3/4 of an inch per side.

Is Okie Joe's still in business? Cannot reach web site. If not who else is good at dropping axles?

I sent Okie Joe my 32 heavy axle, king pins and spindles earlier this year and after he worked his magic, the death wobble disappeared! Also had him drop an A axle 2”. Great work at a fair price.

He was, as of this summer. I dropped him an email and he called me the next business day.

    I will second @thunderbirdesq.

He dropped my axle and brought it to the width I needed.
