Kiwi4d... Yes the headers resemble WW2 fighter exhaust. Not sure If I am going to run these. I want to get the body on and get it running to see how they look and sound. I would only use this setup with hood sides installed. I think the primary tubes look ugly sticking straight up along with the horizontal plenum tube. With just the tubes sticking out of the sides I feel it should look unique and appealing.

31Apickup... The shocks are from So-Cal Speed shop. There are 2 different lengths available for both front and rear.

They might look appealing, even interesting but I can’t imagine having the exhaust noise constantly coming out the side of the engine in front of my ears not to mention the exhaust fumes that could possibly fill up the car if you have the windows open.

You’re just gonna have to drive faster than the fumes :D and I can see that you probably have some practice at that

Looking good. May I enquire as to the origin of the rubber shifter boot?

Chris that is a TREMEC trans boot. The 5 spd comes with one as seen in the photos and I purchased another one to go on the interior transmission hump.

Not much IMG_3489.JPG IMG_3488.JPG IMG_3490.JPG done other than starter and front brake lines and the wrong master cylinder removed and the proper Ford cylinder finally installed...

  15. If you don't use the factory springs on your radiator hold down bolts, you will eventually find out why they are there. You're doing a nice job. There are reasons why somethings on 32's never change.

WFO Guy... I wondered about that. The holes on the rad are so big I didn't want to use the 3/8' bolt that were supplied. The rad would move around a lot. I went with 7/16" but couldn't find any springs to fit over them. I have a large flat mounting surface on the frame and hope there won't be any cracking problems.
Loudbang... Half the frame & suspension is just loosely bolted together till I know everything is routed properly.

  18. Groovy, how about you use the 3/8 bolts and springs and make a sleeve to take up the slack. Or my favorite, take the 7/16" bolts to the lathe and turn them down and thread them to 3/8. Many have tried to run the solid bolts and most ended up with a broken radiator. There's too much frame flex and movement in the hood assembly.

After I got the radiator and shell lined up in mine I welded a couple of 3/8 washers in place to keep the spacing in order. D

Are you painting outdoors in the cold? What paints are you using?

Yes Aaron. Painting outside when the temperature is around zero with snow on the ground is ideal. Paint flows well and there is zero dust. The best alternative when there isn't a paint booth available.
    The brand is ENDURA.
The dust on the hoop is from today. It is sanding dust from my firewall and not stuck to the paint.

  28. You said previously that the maroon was “Royal Hudson Maroon”.
Is that for the “Hudson” car or the “Royal Hudson” locomotive. They look similar.
Can you share the Endura code?
    Thanks a lot.

HotrodA (Bill) The Royal Hudson Maroon code is --- SNR-21115-qt --- Endura.
I don't know if it refers to the car or locomotive.
