Congratulations on your win at Emerald Coast, Colby! That's quite an achievement with that competition.
They didn’t just let me go out there and take it. It was a tough night but ended perfect. Thank you much! Sent from my iPhone using H.A.M.B.
Wow We! You're car is BA! Great job! I love SEGA racing and it's super neat to see a HAMBer in the thick of it! Keep up the great work!
I read the entire thread for the first time today. Slam dunk! You and your dad really put together a fine race car.
Qualified 15th at Emerald Coast due to some issues getting the car to shift and ended up getting it fixed by elimination. The night completely turned around and I was able to get enough continuous round wins to make it to the finals and win the race. It was a great end of the year and I can’t wait to get started on preparing the car for next year. Sent from my iPhone using H.A.M.B.
Man what an adventure, from bringing it home on a trailer on Dec 2017 to CLASS winner in less than three years. Quite an accomplishment.
It sure is. I never imagined I’d make it this far by any means. Also if y’all are interested go visit https://speedandkulture.com/products/subscription?_pos=1&_sid=2a8f9a01e&_ss=r to get a subscription for there winter print which will be having the Ranchero included in a few pages with an article. You raised him good. He is a fine young man. After being around your family this past season . It was a real treat to see him pull off the win. Best wishes for a solid season coming up. Hopefully 2021 will be a better year for everybody.
Made a new throttle assembly with the help from my dad and his machining skills with a good solid stop to replace the flimsy setup I ran last season. Wont make it faster but it will take away some fear I’ve had of it failing on me again. Sent from my iPhone using H.A.M.B.
I watch the races on YouTube and would love to go to them all in person. It looks like a great series with the coolest cars. I love your Ranchero, I have a 62 myself. It sure is great to see the younger generation liking this kind of stuff. Your sister makes a perfect backup girl and her car is pretty cool too. Good luck this upcoming season.
A well overdue update to the thread. The Moonbeam has continued to perform well and is always seeing new changes to try to further the performance. I have learned a lot with this car and have met many exceptional people. Recently I won the Southeast Gassers Assosiation B/G Championship points battle. Here are some recent photos. I appreciate everyone who supported my dream and reassured me that I was making great strides in the right direction. I’m have continued working on several cars of my own and have been working with some other individuals cars aswell, hopefully I’ll be able to get around to posting some on here soon.
