Always nice to see your own car pop up in the pictures. The first two are when we brought the Hudson over to USA in 2018 and the first run we attended on our odyssey was the Stray Kat 500 in Dewey.
The interior shot is a bit embarrasing with the under dash panel hanging down. We had some trouble with the wiring and this must have been before or maybe during the repairs that a very talented auto electrician did for us in the driveway in front of Travis' shop and got us going without further problems for the next 4500 miles. Since then the front of the car has been changed with the grille bar shortened and bullets added and took out the Mercury tail lights and replaced with NOS 48 Hudson ones that are correct for the car.

And this photo is shortly after we completed the car in 2005. Now over 15 years on the road.

 

Does anyone know what this coupe started life as?

Both of these 1950 Chevrolet’s are reproductions of Larry Watson’s “Grapevine”, each representing two different periods in the cars life. I believe the purple version in the foreground was first.
