I have a 1951 Desoto with fluid drive. The contact that plugs into the kickdown switch on the carburetor is missing. Does anyone know if the contacts are the same in all of the B&B carburetors made for Chrysler? Thanks
Only the ones for fluid drive had them,I might have some carb parts around here somewhere. Had a 50 Chrysler for many years and wish I had it back.
Thanks. I know that only fluid drive carbs had them, I just wonder if the contacts were changed over the years as the carburetor models changed.
If it is some sort of electrical kickdown switch you are after, how about looking at an old GM car with a turbo 400 transmission? A lot of these had a switch that was attached to the gas pedal.
It's just a small pin that plugs into the carburetor. Carter B&B carburetors were used in the 40's and 50's. Strombergs must have also been used .
