LB that pic brings back memories of how they looked "back in the day". I see all these restored examples today and I cannot remember the last time I even gave one a second look.

Imagine a guy complaining because it hit 60 degrees in Dec. and he was punished by having to drive his Corvette.

It’s probably stock and might even offend a few but I keep going back to this picture because it just looks sinister!

That black 62 looks great. If I had to run hubcaps that is the look I would go for. Not a fan of pretend knockoff wheel covers to be honest. If I was fortunate to own a big brake or tanker 62, I would prefer black and of course they only came with the small caps. The big brake and tanker cars are the only ones I would leave as they came from the factory-no modifications necessary in my opinion (although I am not a fan of the gas cap on the outside of the gas lid door, I could live with it I suppose).

Not to be picky Jim, but the RPO 5.5 rims (with small Hubcaps) were a stand alone option.
They could be ordered with any HP or other options, but were not mandatory
with big brakes or tankers. However most times they were ordered together
    for obvious reasons.

You know more than I on that topic Dave but I had thought when you checked the box on either the big brake or the big brake/big tank option that you automatically got the "wider wheels" with the small caps. I cannot imagine putting either the standard hubcaps or whitewalls on a true racing car like the big brake or tanker even for a ride home from the dealer to your home/shop.

Imagine that was a handful going thru the traps-426 Hemi with what appears to be a 25% setback.

This is my long time project. Going to make it a corner carver. It was a basket case so I don't mind doing it my way.
