    F100 The worm gear on an F100 is above the sector shaft when the box is mounted to the frame. Worm gear is below the sector shaft on an F-1. F-1 uses a nut to hold the pitman arm 53/56 F100 uses the pinch bolt.

  6. The box on the first post looks like a 57- 60 f100 pitman arm is from a 57-60 f100 box.
    I changed this post because I was talking about the 48-52 box posted above. Now that we are all screwed up I will go to bed.

    Re. pitman arm, the pinch bolt 53-6 versions had a ball for the tie rod yes?

    Yes the pitman is F-100, from 1957 and later with the tapered small end. The box is probably 53-56, because I think the mounting flange got bigger in 57, right?

    No F-1 (anything pre-53) parts there at all.
