Thats a good plan. Brady will probably be able to tell whats in there and that way you can go on his recommendation.

Your real close to being done Larry, a little more patience and you'll be driving that cool hot rod in the very near future!

  4. I wouldn't drive it even out of the garage without knowing for sure if it needs the tv hooked up. There is no reason to risk damaging a fresh transmission.
I have gone through the same kind of issues with transmission shops in the past, but have been lucky to find a great transmission guy who goes out of his way to stand behind his work.

You have to be careful using a manual valve body on the street. TF do not like to be downshifted into 1st unless under power. If the wheels stop turning abruptly for even a split second it can and will spin up the direct clutch drum and explode it. If you have seen photos of a TF laying on the ground in a million pieces, that is what happens. Your best bet is to put in a stock valve body with a B&M shift kit and hook up the TV linkage. You will enjoy driving it and not worrying about it.

Depends on what valve body you have, some have no engine braking in first gear.

  9. If your thinking about getting away from the manual valve body, buochillon performance makes a great kickdown set up that can adapt to damn near any engine/induction combination. It is much nicer then the lokar and easier to adapt then a stock linkage.https://www.bouchillonperformance.com/
