I like this ,,,got an straight 6 engine from a friend.I got the time,,,need some thing in my kitchen.

 

Clean and ready to be assembly!

 

The easy part....

 

Cam and lifter ready.

 

All lifters in place.

Valves+springs assembly ready to go.

 

Trying to rig the rockers/valves,not so easy!

Mrs Hansen is only here as my Christmas avatar,,,,,she will be gone in a few hours!

 

Shouldn't the pistons be at different heights ? This should be kool when you get it done......make a much better avatar than your old one...............Not! Merry Christmas

 

If I were you, I would do my best to keep her from leaving...

 

Nevermind...I get it!!

 

I though for a while about how the pistons would be positioned ,I decided 1 and 6 at top.
2 and 5 are on their way up.
3 and 4 are on their way down.
Dammit,,now I almost regret that I did that.....too late!

 

The pushrods and rockers was missing,so I bought Chevrolet rockers instead (much cheaper) and 3 meter 8mm round bar.

 

Today`s job.

 

Now, install it in a skeleton vehicle.......

 

I don`t have the space for it

 

Looks like a fun kitchen "appliance".

And I want to see Mrs. Hansen! Do I have to wait until next Christmas?

Looks like its coming along well........good work! I have one suggestion. I think it would look better if you lengthened a couple of pushrods so that the valves on 1 and 6 are open rather than all valves being in the closed position. Not trying to criticize, only suggesting that it would look more realistic.

 

It's a sad, sad day when Mrs. Hansen is no longer your avatar .

 

I know what you mean.
My plan was to do the lifter/rockers more realistic.
But it became too complicated to get everything in the right place.
I only have two hands

 

Nicely done! Makes me wish I hadn't tossed all those old parts in the scrap run!

In my case I would ask Mrs. Hansen for her permission before I looked at that particular photo.
