Been driving it as much as I can! Replaced the leaking copper header gaskets with remflex, they worked great! Picked up some nice stainless banjo fuel inlet fittings from the guys at Millworks hot rods & hooked up the end carbs. It’s like a whole different animal now! Sent from my iPhone using H.A.M.B.
Looking great! Hope you got a lot of miles in this fall. I drove my 33 a lot on the back roads of New Hampshire but just recently put it away for the winter.
Thanks. Yeah, I was able to put some miles on it this fall. Sadly I don’t think I’ll be putting any more on until spring as they have started treating the roads here recently Sent from my iPhone using H.A.M.B.
Think I finally figured out how to post a video; I’ll give it a try. Sent from my iPhone using H.A.M.B.
Thanks Walt, hope you’re doing well & had a nice Xmas. I’m sure you’ll have your car running & idling fine when you get it back together. Sent from my iPhone using H.A.M.B.
Love Tudors. And, I'm afraid all of my cars have been "projects". Someday I'll get it back on the road.
I like them too; especially having a family that enjoys my passion. I like you’re model a tudor; it has a ‘60’s vibe. Just keep at it. (It took me 2 years just rebuilding my engine) life definitely gets in the way but; diligence pays off.... Sent from my iPhone using H.A.M.B.
I believe they’re knock off porter’s or similar. They are aluminized with no markings...... Sent from my iPhone using H.A.M.B.
For you guys wondering about Welch plugs in the water passage holes ( vtwhead) ...more coolant needs to flow through the rear passages from the block into the cylinder heads than the front passages so the back cylinders get cooled...every head gasket I've seen has smaller holes in the front...never been into an OLDS rocket however!! ..I would expect gasket makers to have that feature in their product today...if you don't have overheating issues don't sweat it !!
On the V6 comment, I have gotten that with flathead V8s as well....some people count header tubes before spark plugs I guess....you still have that Triumph in the shop Triumph 1 ??.. that must be a blast to ride!!
I sold the ‘65 bobber in my avatar a few years ago. I had fun building it & It was a blast to bomb around town & back roads on but; the hard tail was rough on my spine. I still have a couple stock bonnies I cruise around. Sent from my iPhone using H.A.M.B.
Yeah you definitely saw 3 pedals, no slush boxes in my rides. I’m running a Muncie wide ratio 4 speed out of a ‘65 Pontiac Sent from my iPhone using H.A.M.B.
