Nope. They appear to be a pair of '40 Mercurys. No Plymouth DNA. :)

  9. Not just any Dodge, but "The Dodge" in my opinion. It was owned by Randy Perez who was a HAMB member (randingo8). He had a collection of bombas that rivaled many of the elite bomb clubs.
Sadly, his life was tragically cut short and he was taken from us back in April of '19. Here is a link to a write up I did when I found out the terrible news.

    He is missed..........E

  15. That is really interesting and wish there were more photos of it. It looks like the rear glass was not cut but instead the C-pillar was reconfigured to allow the glass to lay down and extend over the back seat necessitating shortening the roof. I'm trying to figure out how much was chopped at the front.. From the side this looks properly proportioned. I'd like to see it from front, back and 3/4s. The trick to chopping the Forward-Look cars is to keep in mind that the graceful, delicate support of the greenhouse is probably even more essential to the design than the tailfins. If you think you can improve on the already fantastic original design you better know what you are doing. From what I have seen most attempts to lower the lid on FL cars end up looking squashed down and distorted because there was not enough thought and consideration made about how the relationship between all those curves and shapes would change if you alter just one element.

  16. 67Cnt1.jpg Might be a little OT but it's the paint and attitude that are pertinent here.

Here are a few pics of my forever in progress 48. I have the engine out again for workup to better accept the Shanafelt intake and Phillips Performance headers, and am really thinking about popping on an Edgy head from the Mopar Montana. I've lowered the car via coil cut and 3" blocks in the rear, put in a Ford Explorer rear end, and drove the hell out of it until this year. I'd like to french the headlights, but don't know how much I want to go full kustom with this one. I kinda like the hard look. I've got a 49 New Yorker, thats the one I intend to go full with. Frenched lights chopped roof, re-imagined taillights...etc. Screenshot_20210103-073010_Facebook.jpg Screenshot_20210103-072929_Facebook.jpg 20210103_072424.jpg 20210103_072318.jpg

Been a while since I posted and had forgotten about this thread. So nice to see more Mopars being built.
Building a period correct motor for my '49 and just finished as much as I am going to do with the '54 wagon. It's looking for a new owner. ( see classified adds)
