  3. yeah, i found that one.
i'm pretty sure they're in another country and there is very little contact info.

i'm looking for a local or at best a domestic dealer.

NAPA used to carry it, but for some reason not any more.

wow... $130 a quart? That must be some mitey fine snake oil!

Edit: With all due respect (Lordy knows I ain't the sharpest knife in the drawer) I fail to see how a lubricant can change the molecular structure of metal.

"TRIBOTECH IJP is an intermetallic junction preventative and surface metallurgy improver that counteracts friction starting at the molecular level"

    Whats the secret here?

Wow, I'm impressed with all those four cylinder words.

  8. i'll look into it.
    thanks.

we started on tribotech when the area rep drove his personal BMW into the shop and drained the crankcase with the motor running and gave my dad a ride to long beach.

i had it in the crankcase when unbeknownst to me (long story) my oil pump went south in bakersfield and i drove it back to LA over the g****vine with no oil pressure. zero damage when we dropped the pan. not even a scuffed bearing.

i'm sure there's some other super product with at least one extraordinary testimonial, but as a former municipal fleet mechanic (police included) i'm a big fan.

I use it in autoloading firearms, and it is Par Excellence. My last bottle is well hidden, as I consider it precious.

I found some trans additive at NAPA, they said they found it in the back corner of the storeroom.
Contrary to what has been posted, I used the engine treatment in a V-6 GMC Jimmy and it worked great. Within twenty minutes the engine was running cooler and smoother and continued to do so until I sold the truck. Also used the trans treatment at about 60000 miles and it made a new transmission out of it. Smoother and quicker shifts, no problems whatsoever. Also used it in a 2003 big block Chevy transmission. Have three bottles left on my shelf. What I heard (?) is that the marketing director was spirited away from the original Tribotech manufacturer and things were going so well that he was never replaced and things went downhill from there. Ask your local NAPA dealer to take a good look in the dark corners of the storeroom.
Good luck, if you find any engine treatment please let me know.

I think I know that product you're looking for. Unfortunately it's a Philippine product under different name.

It is now called Pertua Oil & Metal Treatment here in the Philippines, you can check on there website (www.pertua.com) under History that they mention that they sell the product under Tribotech name in the US long time ago.

If that's the product you're looking, maybe I can help you get that since I live here in the Philippines.
