3 window 1.jpeg I can't tell you how long I have looked for an affordable 1932 Ford 3 window . They were either rusted or chopped up hulks or priced out of this world . I found and purchased a 3 window from an 87 year old gentleman who bought the car in 1952 and kept it his entire life driving and entering it in local car shows . Over the years he has rejected many offers to sell but old age caught up to him and he priced the car to sell at a price I deemed fair . This car is a pretty original car with the exception of a 1936 LB flathead engine . Some of my friends are saying don't touch it leave as is but I have been saving parts for years and have a 1953 Oldsmobile 303 with a complete Fenton change over kit [including cast headers] and a 3 deuce intake manifold and I want to convert it to a 50s HOT ROD , what say you, leave as is or convert ?

Here is my 5-window that I purchased years ago in Charleston WV . It is a great solid 2 owner car with a 8ba engine , 39 trans with Zepher gears , Columbia 2 speed rear , 1937 Hudson steering box , original interior and paint circa 1956 . The 3 window will make a great addition .

Leave it. You could build a stout flathead and do other bolt in mods.

Well an 89 year old unmolested car is pretty cool....especially the condition this one appears to be in.There probably more hot rod 32 Fords than are originals left.

Wow thats a nice car and would be a tough one to cut up. But an Olds powered 32 is tough to beat. I ***ume you'd leave the body mostly stock with fenders right?

Awesome car. I would be tempted to hot rod it, but I understand the argument to keep it "as found" because it is so nice and relatively untouched. But after thinking it over for another 30 seconds, I say hot rod it. :D

Will the 87 year old guy come back to haunt you. Trade for another 32 if so. Someone would love to get their hands on this one. I`m a flathead guy. Regressing to the late 40`s to early 50`s build time frame. And earlier.

I don't like to make permanent modifications. You can up grade the drive line, brakes, steering, and suspension using vintage parts without cutting, and drilling holes if you take time to engineer your changes. When I was very young I put an Oldsmobile in a 32. As I remember it didn't fit without modifying the firewall, or moving the radiator forward. I wouldn't do that.

I would say leave it! But it's your car. But pleas don't cut up the firewall find an aftermarket one and cut it up.

Jimmy White at circle city hot rods ran an olds in a 32 roadster - it had a slight modification to the firewall - maybe talk to him about it

Since you asked, I like your idea of the Olds transplant.

Going through the same thing with my ‘37 Chevy pickup. Realized that it is a farm truck and if I want to drive it, I must improve it. The definition of improve it would be up to you. We only have so much time in life, don’t p*** with regrets. The important opinion is yours.
