Well its been in the family since 1968. My dad first built it with a pinto motor. Then in the late 80’s we put a early flathead in it. Then in about 1990 we put a fresh 37’ flathead in it with duel strombergs and a mild cam. Then he decided he wanted to hide the ugly A frame. So one of his best friends is a old hot rodder name Jack Underwood he and my dad rolled pans in the driveway on torque tubes and angle iron. They finished it and turned out pretty nice. Just a little different from the common 32 rails. It has a 39 trans with Lincoln zephyr gears 48 ford rearend. The rear pan really gets alot of attention. Resembles both looks and sound of an old boat. Added a couple pics to show. Thanks for the inquiry

  15. You've seen my machine, I hid the A frame with a channel though. Is a Channeled highboy a thing?

Yes, the driver door is welded shut, yes it's original Henry steel

My very in-progress '30 Model A highboy. Plans are to beef up the A frame once the V8 goes in.

I like your top clamp to the windshield frame, maybe you should use two more

I'd like to see more pics of Model A's on A frames, fenderless, but with the running boards aprons only installed. I'm trying to decide how well I like that look. Side view pics would be fantastic!!! Can anyone fix me up? tapatalk_1611116691483.jpeg

I gotta say, I'm a fan of fenderless with aprons!
A few I've saved from the HAMB.
Credit goes to whoever took the photos and whoever owns them.
(1st three are of my favorite car in all of HAMB land)

    Thanks!!!!

I like the highboy look of an A on Deuce rails, but that route costs more money from what I can tell. An exposed A chassis looks a little like it's missing something (maybe it's a look that will grow on me?).
Channeling the body would clean it up also, but again, more expertise than I possess to pull it off. But the fender aprons do dress it up nicely!!!
