Allen Heath was another California Racing Association star and he had the hook in place of his left hand that he lost. Back in the day. No fire suits here and an older type helmet and he is getting out of the car with a Sam Brown belt on.
Nope, different boxes on different days. A good friend of mine was helping me sort one day and found a diamond ring over one of the necks of the bottles though. He took it in and hocked it only to have a lady show up at the store looking for it. She had put it on the bottle while tending her flowers. Being younger guys we all kept quiet about it so as not to get the guy fired. As I got older, married and had a wife that cherished her ring, even to this day I still feel a little guilty about not letting this woman know where her ring was. I guess my grandfather was right when he used to say the thing that costs the most in life is regret.
