My experience with them was not good. Now only go to Auto City Glass.

I'll be needing all new side glass. Was gonna go with Auto City but I noticed the free shipping with Vintage Glass.
Can you elaborate on your bad experience with Vintage?

I have not used them, just put it out there for you guys to check out over the years a lot of guys here used Auto City for glass and brakes and they have always been good after the sale if a problem came up. When I needed vent window glass and a side window I used a local company Bell Glass in Phoenix.

Auto City Classic at least use to deliver to the large swap meets they were attending. That was particularly good for windshields, and how I got mine. It'll be interesting to see how the big swap meets go this year. Not sure if they do Goodguys.but check with them to see.
I'll give another recommendation for Auto City Classic, but have no experience with Vintage.
As with Jeff, when I had decided on converting my rear side windows to fixed ala Business sedan, I could no longer use the rear side glass I had already bought, so I had mine made locally. The dark gray tinted glass had to be sent for tempering to Oklahoma.

I purchased glass for my 55 from them t the NSRA nationals. They asked what I needed, I said all of it . He gave me a very attractive quote including free shipping so I purchased it there. When I recd the glass there was no windshield. I called and they said that I had not purchased the windshield. Since I had not specified a windshield, they quoted side glass only. So, their price was not a good one with no windshield. Now why he did not consider all the glass to include a windshield???? So I asked for a price on the windshield then called Auto City, their price was better so that is where I ordered it. A local friend told me that he had used Auto City for several cars and found their price and service to be very good. I found it to be the same. As far as Vintage, I think they intentionally didnt mention the windshield to make their price seem best.

Does anyone one know if the side glass at these places matches the original Ford Blue glass nicely?
I also see a seller on eBay that had the flat glass Bob’s Classic auto glass. 2 doors hard top 280.00 plus tax and 45.00 shipping. Doors rear qtr and wind wings.

I will also have to rechrome my frames by the time I get to them.

I've used glass from Auto City Classics on several cars and they fit well and come well packaged for protection. For 50s Fords they have clear, original Ford green tint, and a grey tint.

I have used Auto City Classic glass for many of my cars and have always had a good experience with them. They have brought glass out to goodguys in Pleasanton and Sacramento swap meet to save me shipping cost. I will be placing order with them for my 57 chevy sport coupe I am building now.

Guys, keep in mind if the flat glass is not cut from laminate, it will need to be/should be tempered. Aside from the safety aspect, it's by law!!
