Wild Bill's old chopped, channeled and sectioned shoebox showed up at Symco Weekender 2019. It still looks good and is now wearing purple suede.

You are welcome! Wild Bill had a small private salvage yard so he was constantly kustomizing 50s era cars and he was a highly skilled metal man. My personal favorite was a chopped, channeled and sectioned 50 Mercury coupe. It had all of the late 50s kustomizing tricks like George Jetson antennae and I believe that it was candy burgundy colored with dragon themed pinstriping.

 

Kool to see some of the history. I love and respect free spirited kustom guys. They build them for them for the right reason. For themselves. Sounds like he had a lot of fun building some wild kustoms.

WHERE WAS THIS AT? IN SO CAL! I would have LOVED to go to that one with my car.

 

It was on 22nd street in San Pedro, at a park right next to the ports. It was a free show put on by the Lost Souls car club. Decent turnout too for the times, about 100 cars. It was an official show also. I was shocked how they got to hold it still with all the restrictions in L.A. But I'm not complaining, glad I went.
