I'd suggest going ahead and getting several quotes-including what they do, turnaround time and shipping/ insurance costs. Then decide which, if any, fit your plans. THEN come back and ask for recommendations among your choices. You might find nothing in your budget range or that a good rep company isn't really much more than the Walmart of Chrome.
Thanks to everyone that gave me positive advice and not just character bashing not eveybody has deep enough pockets to afford the best of best and maybe I dont ask questions the way I mean to but iam still going to keep at my hot rod the best i can.
If the car will be a 'driver' and you don't need 5 star show chrome, consider just buying a new set of lower 32 stanchions. $90 with the pads=bolt them on and go.... Sell off your originals and recoup some of your cost. No dickin around getting estimates and mailing out parts. https://www.speedwaymotors.com/1932...MI4r6O_p6J7wIVyh6tBh1VjgfbEAQYASABEgKVqvD_BwE With popular cars like early Fords and tri-five Chevy's, many times it's cheaper to buy replacement chrome and SS trim than restore the original stuff. Maybe not what you want, but certainly an option for a 32 build. It's a Hot Rod, not a resto so people won't even focus on it. Be glad you're not sending out chrome for a 50's Cad or Buick.
Thats another good idea I will check that out to might get some already chromed and save these for the next one Thanks
What good does it do you if you are dead? I'd rather have less stuff and be alive. Once you have food for your family, a place to live, clothes to wear and clean water and sanitation, there rest of it is just STUFF.
Industrial chrome is not as shiny, but looks good and is cheaper. Used it on nurf bars and steering components.you see it in hospitals and public restrooms.
If you want a lower price, do a lot of the work yourself. Strip, sand and buff that stuff so that it is smooth and shines before taking it to the platers.
