wonderful berkshire transmission. last full is a marmon ad image for big 8. last is a pile of resorts that no longer exist/open in catskills.
Great pics Ron, keep them coming. As Ryan said in this section, autos don't have to be in the picture as long as the pics are period correct, and if the pics include cars/trucks, that they be American.
Something new and gorgeous too. Dorthy Malone. Catch "The Big Sleep" to see this '40s Hottie in a great movie! I don't know how to load a youtube movie clip, but just look for the "Acme Book Store" clip. It's great! Very easy to find.
Ah hmm ... Well just my input here but if the photos do not have transportation related central focal themes then what's the point of having this thread on a rod site ? Personally as I am sure many others do, come here for the old cars depicted in various days gone by scenarios. If not that then this thread could easily morph into themed fashion, kitchen ware, just people posing etc, etc and become non unique like a menagerie of other sites and blogs.
Thanks, I Love Hot Rods photos the best too! They are very easy to find. I can just look on here. lol I was just trying to think of subjects, and photos that I hadn't seen here yet. I got a little carried away with Miss America, and the 64 Worlds fair, etc. I will still keep looking that stuff up. Because It brings back lots of great memories. It's like my own Time Machine. I will keep searching for that type old stuff. But I'll just keep it to myself. This is a Hot Rod site. I didn't realize there is soo much cool stuff out there to be found. That's untill I started looking. I think we lived in the best of times! {1950's & 60's} Thanks for all your finds. Ron....
Steve Stapp ready to be pushed off in his good-looking sprint car in 1964. Stapp built the car and prepared the engine. A good driver, Steve stepped out of the cockpit after 1964, because of his young family. Of course, he went on to build some of the winningest sprint cars of his era.
