Hello, I was getting to the point of no return on the ice cream truck project. There were too many things popping up that took time and energy to complete, so the little guy took a back seat. I tried getting into my favorite rock music groups for some inspiration, but that just made it worse. I had just listened to some jazz on our new Audio Engine speakers in the house, so I though my garage speakers and Ipod Touch music playlist would do the trick. Luckily as I sat down with my pen and list of what to do next, I happen to hit play on my playlist and out pops the jazz section and starts playing Joyce Cooling. She is an outstanding guitar player and the music calmed me down to be able to outline what I had to do next to get closer to the finished product to give to our granddaughter for a gift. When my wife and I were lounging around on our sailboat, sometimes it called for some calming music. After a full day of 15-18 knot wind days tilting the boat and making it blast down the open ocean with the coast line on one side and forever on the other. It took a while to smooth out our minds. So, the same calming music that was good for the sailing episode's, resting times in the dock, it fit right into the garage project mentality. Calmness, clears the mind...YRMV Jnaki I was able to get some work done and set up the next steps with other parts. Yea, for a variety of music to keep the mind calm and being able to design/work, again. Rock music is good for some inspiration. But these days, it was better to stay in a calm state with some good sounds through the speakers.
Chris Stapleton , "Starting Over" ......funny thing ...I keep hitting replay button . Love the work he did on this song . "Well the road rolls out like a welcome mat.....to a better place than the one were at . And I aint got no kinda plan ....and Ive all of this town I can stand" "You can be my lucky penny .........And I can be your 4 leaf clover" The song plays over and over in my head. ...lol.
"Anna go with him".. Al Bundy made this famous again.. Arthur Alexander - Anna (Go to Him) (1962) - YouTube
The country station is the music station that gets the best reception in the garage. Tuned to that. Haven't been able to reach the radio for two months now (temporary paint booth set up) so the radio is on 24/7 until the booth comes down.
Got a T.V. with a Roku hooked up, listen to '90s rock/grunge while learning through mistakes on my Lincoln. Reminds me of working on cars with my friends in high school, and makes for a chill garage vibe.
Mine is constant for the last umpteen years. Too many hours on non-cab tractors growing up, loud music and thousands of rounds of things that go bang with unprotected ears. Live and learn.
Nothing at all. Actually, I got a new furnace and a/c installed last week and it is quiet. When the quiet gets too loud I have an old Sanyo receiver and speakers to listen to the oldies.
All varieties. Some outlaw. Grandkids pick some like Frozen, etc. Sent from my SM-N950U using The H.A.M.B. mobile app
I have a pair of EV studio monitors and I can listen to anything I want and about as loud as necessary. I listen to anything but rap & punk. Some times Bach pipe organ to entertain the neighbors .
