This is just an inch out of bounds, but Green Hornet's Black Beauty.

Only ever saw the show in reruns, and then just super seldom.

    But, whoo....

    Black_Beauty_TV.jpg

counting movie cars, maybe Greased Lightning (pre f'd up dune buggy end of Grease look)

I know, corny graphics, but give me a break, I was 8!

    And this little punk.

I remember an episode of Father Knows Best where Bud buys an old Jalopy. I can only find these 2 pics:

Looks like 3 different roadsters, one with a sbc, one with a rocket and one with a flattie Arden. Hot Rod Magazine is mentioned in the credits

There was a show called Shannon in the early 60’s, the main characters car had all types of concealed equipment. The car was a bubble top Buick I think or maybe a convert, been too long.
That show had the coolest car.

I'm surprised nobody mentioned "My Mother the Car" with Jerry VanDyke. Short run, but as a 5-6 year old in 1966-67 I watched the show. I remember the local variety store had an AMT model kit of it on the shelf, and I wanted it BAD. Had to wait another year or so before I got my first model car kit and never found it. But all the old Fords on the Andy Griffith Show, Hazel, the FBI, etc. in first-runs sure stoked my interest along with those 'cartoon' cars like the Beverly Hillbillies Olds, Munster Coach, Batmobile, Black Beauty (and the '66 Chrysler 300 ragtop), a '46 Ford in a 3rd season episode of Lost in Space...I could go on and on

The car in Shannon was a 61 Buick Special four door. It must have had a 215 V8 the way he out ran that 61 ford ragtop.:p:D

I like seeing the late fifties Chryslers in Peter Gunn and Mr Lucky, the big tailfinned cars that were new then.
