I bet there is a pretty cool story about this car and how it resurfaced or was rescued. Can anyone talk more about it?

I think this is the same car.

 

That is a sweet looking 1939 Ford coupe.

 

I remember those days and the carriage wheeled things. We called them gigs. The ones with the roller skate wheels didn't corner very well.

 

Goggomobile.

 

Yeah, it kinda looks like my old stomping grounds in Port Kembla...

 

No, it's a Lloyd 600. The Goggomobile is smaller, more slab-sided and has the shape of fenders pressed in, front and rear. There were a couple of drag Lloyd altereds in period. I've never seen a Goggomobile drag car built in the HAMB-era.
