Motion Pictures looking for a 50s movie

Does anyone know the ***le to 50s movie about a teenage girl who gets sent to l.a to live with her mother and the neighbors have a son who is hot rodder I always remember his roadster was the real deal

Sounds like the movie that my Uncles car was in. The big deal about the movie, was that the "owner" of the car had a chance to buy a multiple carburetor setup, but he didn't have the money (!). He borrowed the money from the girl that just moved into town to live with her uncle (I think). But the uncle said...no racing, etc., etc.
The car had a windshield and a stock flathead in it for the movie. He painted the "Dodie" on the side, because that was the name of the "girl". Don't know what the 77 was for.

Too bad I don't recall the name of the movie..!

Chuck Connors was Rifleman . Great black & white TV series. Or was it our old TV way back in the 1960s.
