Projects First time painter 1934 Ford

  1. I'm impressed! The before shot reminds me of a 32, 3 window that got hit by a train and the owner brought it back from the dead.

Yep, I can see it now! You're standing there looking at that thinking to yourself, " Why, that should buff right out. "

Got any tips for a guy heading down the same "first time, real paint job" path?

Looks very good. Congrats on doing a very nice first job. The nice finish reflects all the hard work BEFORE the paint goes on. Are you going to color sand and buff it?

  19. The painting part is the easy part. The getting to the painting part is the hard part !

Be careful around the edges. (Same goes for the buffing)

I know the work is tedious, but I find it very satisfying when the project turns out great. Good luck with it. Can't wait to see it all assembled!

  24. @flynbrian48 literally just got done wet sanding and buffing a humongous wagon. He might be a good source for help on any questions for that process. Good luck !

Great build and perfect color. Also, cool to see Tolar, TX represented on here. Grew up there in the late 80’s and 90’s.

Hey Goodmanag...this car was from a field behind Meyers convenience store in Tolar. Probably had its first life in Tolar area .Had been sitting in the woods for over 50 years
